Writing

Like many people out there, I’m always in need of a tiny extra money. Over the past 2 years I’ve been experimenting with various online services that pay you for your writing, and I’m now going to share these websites with you. None of these sites are going to pay for your next car, but if you enjoy writing, then the money is just a (very welcome) extra!

1: Triond.

Triond was the first online writing service that I used and still holds a special place for me! I don’t post much of my writing on there anymore as I have found websites that offer more money, but triond should not be discounted. One advantage that triond has over many other writing websites is that it is very open to nearly all forms of writing. You can post poetry, fact, fiction, how to guides, reviews- nearly anything. This open approach means that you can get your writing online and making money quickly- even getting paid just for your view about the news for example!

The money isn’t the ideal you’ll find on this list, but it is also largely subjective to your use of adword and search engine optimization. Of course, the written calibre of your work is also a factor. Recently, triond intorduced a new scheme whereby people could link thier google adsense statement (if you’re writing online for money, you will NEED one anyway) to thier triond account, allowing them to acquire a tiny extra. This has proven very favourite and his improved money flow for many triond users.

Triond pays people based on an equation that factors your writing’s estimated clicks to view ratio, multiplied by your page views. This can lead to some strange occurences, but it also means that you stand to make more by writing a high calibre article. Indeed, some writing might make more money on triond than anywhere else if you know how to write for search engines and adsense.

I still sign in to triond, so use my referral link here, and I will offer any advice and guidence I can.

Summary:

Very open approach, you can publish nearly anything. A great place to begin if you’re new to the trade. Money isn’t the best, but can be offset if you know how to use google adsense.

2: Bukisa.

Bukisa is my current favorite online writing service. It differs from triond in two very important ways. First, you are paid based solely on the number of views you receive (every thousand views pays a set ammount called the Bukisa index), and they are less open about what they accept. To write and make money for Bukisa, you will need to write informative articles that share skills, teach, wage how to guides, online reviews, money and finance ideas, or anything else people will find useful. Bukisa are not as strict as they sound however, and provided that your writing is moulded in a correct way, it’s quite simple to post a response to news, provided it’s worked into an informative piece. Bukisa requires a higher standard of writing, but you are less penalized for not knowing the inns and outs of online specific writing. Obviously though, a tiny search engine optimization will go a long way to making extra money.

Speaking of money, I find Bukisa pays the ideal so far, and I am investing most of my time in it. While using Bukisa I have learnt search engine optimization to a degree where I am generating the greatest percentage of my hits- and therefore my money, from google. Unlike triond, you can also post writing from other online services to Bukisa, but you must be aware that search engines tend to frown on this sort of thing!

Bukisa also operates a referral scheme that lets you make a tiny extra money for inviting other writers to join the online service. It reads a lot like a pyramid scheme, but it is not. The important difference between Bukisa’s ‘ multi level referral’ scheme and a pyramid scheme is that you do not take anything out of the pockets of the people you invite. Bukisa pays them in full, and also gives you a tiny extra. If you sign up with my referral link here, I Will help you to promote your work.

Summary:

The Bukisa online writing service is one of the ideal available, especially if you know search engine optimization, but have yet to learn adsesne optimization. Pay is more predictable than the others, but that also means a piece of writing that would make a lot of money elsewhere will be capped here.

3: Xomba

I honestly don’t know what to make of the Xomba online service. I’ve tried posting a few pieces of writing there and had very tiny in return. On the other hand, This was before I had even the first clue about search engine optimization! Xomba is very open about the writing you can post- nearly anything goes apart from the offensive or the obscene. Obviously though, some material is superior than others.

Xomba uses Adsense directly, with half your clicks being credited to you, and the other half to Xomba. In real terms, this means that this online service is potentially the ideal for money, but you need to know search engine optimization, AND adsense optimization in order to get the most money out of Xomba. If you have the time to learn these skills, then Xomba is possibly the ideal website on this list as you stand to make the most money, along with being healthy to write nearly anything you want!

Xomba also runs online writing competitions with money prizes. These prizes are usually measured in hundreds of dollars, and so it’s well worth entering them.

Xomba ofers a referral scheme to its members. Each mortal is given a one-of-a-kind referral link, and each time someone who signed up with that link is paid, Xomba will pay you the equivalent of 25% of their earnings. This does not come out of their pocket, it is all paid by Xomba! Sign up with my referral here, and I will help you out anyway I can.

Summary:

Great if you know SEO and adsense optimization, otherwise you might be superior off with Bukisa or Triond.

——–

So, these are the three I’ve been experimenting with. I’ve got to state that my favorite so far is Bukisa, even though I still use triond for writing that Bukisa would not accept. If you select ot sign up for any of these services, use my referral link and I will help you out as ideal I can. As I’ve said, none of these are going to make you rich, but the money I make writing online pays for a few beers at the end of the month!

Teaching

The forgiveness of our sins by God is a key element of Christianity. Children need to learn forgiveness and how to forgive at an primeval age. The Bible gives great instruction and the Bible is full of stories and Bible Verses that you can use to instruct your children about forgiveness. Please feel free to add any other helpful Bible Verses to the comments so this might be an even superior resource for those that find it.

Bible Verses to Use to Instruct Children About Forgiveness

Matthew 6:14-15- Teaching Children About Forgiveness- The Bible Directs us to Forgive

“For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your heavenly Dad will also forgive you. “But if you do not forgive men, then your Dad will not forgive your transgressions.

1 John 1:9 - Teaching Children & Children to Forgive- God Forgives Us

If we confess our sins, He is truehearted and righteous to forgive us our sins and to sanitize us from all unrighteousness.

Numbers 14:19-20 – Teaching Children Forgiveness- Love Leads us to Forgive Others

“Pardon, I pray, the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of Thy lovingkindness, just as Thou also hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.” So the LORD said, “I have pardoned them according to your word;

Luke 23:33-34- Using Jesus as a Role Model to Instruct our Children about Forgiveness

And when they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left. But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.

Luke 17:3-4 - Teaching Children about Forgiveness- Jesus commands us to Forgive

Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. “And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

Romans 8:1- Teaching Children and Children to Forgive- We are Forgiven

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Forgiveness Bible Verses

Romans 12:20 -Teaching Children About Forgiveness- How to Treat Enemies

“But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.”

Matthew 18:21-22- Teaching Children About Forgiveness- How many times do we Forgive?

Then Peter came and stated to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus stated to him, “I do not state to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

As you instruct children about the topic of forgiveness, read through these Bible Verses with them and help them to comprehend them better. If a child trusts in God and trusts in the truth of the word of God, the Bible is a great resource to help them to comprehend forgiveness better. Forgiveness is such an important aspect of the Christian establishment that we must take the teaching of it to children seriously. I pray these Bible Verses were helpful to you today.

Teaching

Teaching preschoolers about good citizenship is very important because this means that you are molding them to become useful citizens who are healthy to help in the progress of a country.  While preschoolers are very young and they could not fully comprehend what good citizenship means; the core point in teaching them about good citizenship is to make them aware of the good values that a good citizen must possess.  They don’t need to know that they are learning about good citizenship but what you instruct them and what they learn as preschoolers will help enhance their good characteristics that will turn them into good citizens in the future.

Teaching preschoolers about good citizenship must begin from the instructor who is the role model in the classroom.  And while other people influence the preschoolers to become good citizens; the instructor is still the ideal mortal to instruct the preschoolers about good citizenship because preschoolers always look up to their instructor as the ideal mortal to instruct them about anything.

How can you instruct preschoolers about good citizenship?

Be a good teacher

A good instructor knows her roles as a teacher.  She must present herself as a role model in school.  A good instructor greets the young kids, plays with them, speaks to them and tells them stories that are interesting to the kids.  These good attitudes will instruct the children about how to treat their classmates, siblings, parents and other people around them.  If the preschoolers experience all pleasantness inside the school; they will become pleasant people too which will be a good foundation of becoming a good citizen.

Be strict but kind

Being strict does not mean shouting and giving stern look or lecturing the kids.  Being strict applies to rules that must be followed in school.  If a child does not follow rules; you have to do something.  Even preschoolers need rules to follow.  At a young age, children will not learn if they are granted to do what they wish to do in school.  Always make sure that the children are following rules and obeying what you tell them to do.  This is one way of training the preschoolers to become good citizens.  People can't have their own ways as they wish.  As citizens; people will always follow laws, rules, regulations and anything set to be followed;  whether they want it or not.  Teaching the preschoolers about compliance and some responsibilities will instruct them about good citizenship.

Instruct them about good values

There are countless good values that you can instruct the preschoolers.  Just guide them through and for sure they will learn eventually.  What you do and what you state are followed by the preschoolers so as a instructor you should always aim for the ideal examples to set in school.  Preschoolers are young and they learn everything they see around; if the instructor present herself as a role model and practices good values in school; there is no reason why the preschoolers will not learn about good citizenship.  It is the good presentation of the instructor that the children will always remember so the more good values the instructor displays in school, the more the children will learn about good citizenship.

Be a good listener

As a teacher, you must be a good listener.  If a kid is shouting you, the teacher, is trying to silence him by scolding him; the preschoolers will think that what you are doing is the proper way to handle things.  That is not teaching them to be good citizens.  Listening should be one of the factors that the instructor should instruct the young kids.  Kids need someone to listen to them.  That is your role as a teacher.  Listening to the children and embracing their problems will instruct them about freedom of expression.   Be sure to handle the situation if it goes out of hand so that the preschoolers will see the importance of listening and addressing the problem presented.

Teaching preschoolers about good citizenship is a good way of molding them to be worthwhile citizens in the future.

Teaching

A Christian parent or grandparent has important lessons to instruct kids. One of the most important instruction you can give a kid is teaching them to respect others. What does the Bible state about this topic? I have added Bible Verses that you can use and help them to illistrate to your children what respect means. I pray this BIble instruction will be used and be an effective way for your children to grow in the area of respect.

Ten Key Bible Verses to Use for Teaching Kids Respect

Philippians 2:3- Teaching Kids Respect- Being Humble

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let apiece of you regard one another as more important than himself;

Romans 12:10- Teaching Kids Respect- Love

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

Romans 13:7 – Teaching Kids Respect- Honor

Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

Philippians 4:11 – BibleTeaching for Kids to Respect Others- Contentment

Not that I talk from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.

Matthew 7:12 – Teaching Kids Respect- The Golden Rule

“Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Hebrews 13:17 - Instruct Kids respect by obeying spiritual leaders

Obey your leaders, and submit to them; for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.

Ephesians 6:1-3 -Teaching Kids Respect- Obey and Honoring Parents

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your dad and mom which is the first commandment with a promise, that it might be well with you, and that you might live long on the earth.

Parenting Bible Verses

Proverbs 1:8- Teaching Kids Respect- Listening

Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, And do not forsake your mother’s teaching;

1 Timothy 5:1-2 – Teaching Kids Respect- Learn from Older people

Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Teaching Kids Respect- How to treat your body

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

As you instruct your children about respect, read through these Bible Verses with them and ask them what they mean. Kids first need to respect God and the word of God and then the Bible is a great tool for parents to instruct children from. I pray that these Bible Verses were helpful and that you can use them to instruct a child in your life about respect.

Education News

And now the good news…

In today’s world, the news is dominated by conflict, war, disease, and corruption. It’s like a litany of sin. Story after story is recounted on the regular and nightly news shows and in the newspapers that tell us where we are imperfectness as a species. If it’s not dire climate change then it’s war and death in Afghanistan. Then, our civil discourse is disturbed by shouts of “you lie” and our day dreams are disturbed by news about a woman who went camping in mid-summer in Death Valley with her son and dog, and only she and the dog survived.

News of this kind abounds. But, it is not the only news!

We live in a world where things are changing rapidly. It seems like anything can happen and though that is a tiny frightening, it’s also exciting.

Many changes we are seeing are for the better.

President Obama’s time in office has seen a huge increase in social and political engagement. Thousands upon thousands of people are taking action in support of their beliefs. (Of course, we could state that half of these activists are taking up opposition to the other half. The point is people are engaged.) It’s exciting.

            And that is good.

            Wait, there’s more.

Conservationists should be happy that the Green Movement is growing. Substitute forms of energy are in the works. Solar power is on the rise. Electric automobiles are improving and multiplying. Clean, sustainable energy seems more attainable this day than it did five years ago.

            That is good.

The international space station gets short shrift in the news. The space station really is international. The current crew of the international space station includes people from Russia, the USA, Canada, and Belgium. Yes, I stated Canada. They’ve prefabricated it to space too.

            That’s ok.

The world wide web boasts several “good news” organizations where stories are published on uplifting, or at least positive topics.

Good News Network’s lead story is the opening of the first co-ed university in Saudi Arabia. (www.goodnewsnetwork.org)

Happy News (http://www.happynews.com) is running a story on Andre Agassi’s education foundation. Not exactly exciting news, but nothing gets broken and no one dies.

Good News Daily (//www.goodnewsdaily.com) has a story about a farmer growing Buddha shaped pears, which is charming, don’t you think?

On their local and global news page, Good News Daily has a link to an article about a “good deed” movement in England, where citizens are encouraged to do one of twenty acts of kindness for a refugee.

            That’s nice.

Beyond organizations like these dedicated to good news, there is a vast area of more-or-less neutral news – book, art, and motion picture reviews.

Most major papers have sections dedicated to the arts. So, even if the A-section headlines are not about writers, directors, or painters, these figures have a place in our news.

Associated Content is boasts a multitude of reviews of this sort. Another pleasing world wide web site is Rotten Tomatoes, dedicated to collecting film reviews and presented in a creative, fun way.

Perhaps you will state art reviews don’t count as news. Well, ok, maybe they don’t. However, show openings in major museums and stories of arts events do qualify. I insist.

Ultimately, we are the arbiters of our own conversations. We select what to focus on, what to discuss, and how to discuss it. Being reminded of how good people can be and how nice life can be is refreshing. How lovely would it be if our news broadcasters felt this way too? It would be nice, but it’s up to us too.

If that doesn’t work for you, there’s always sports.
